DSC programming

The car stereo has been equipped with DSC (Direct Software Control) to allow you to customise certain programmable, basic set- tings to suit your personal needs and pref- erences and then store them.

The basic settings for this audio equipment were made at the factory.

In the following you can find an overview of these settings, so that you can always reset to them if desired.

If you wish to alter any of the programming,

press DSC.

Use the rocker switch and the ENT button to select and adjust the functions de-scribed in the following. The display will show you the setting you have selected.

LOW EQ Equaliser setting:

To activate the frequencies and set the level for the low- er frequency range.

Refer to the detailed instruc- tions in the section on “Equaliser setting”.

HIGH EQ Equaliser setting:

To activate the frequencies and set the level for the up- per frequency range.

Refer to the detailed instruc- tions in the section on “Equaliser setting”.

TA VOL To adjust the traffic an- nouncement and warning beep volume from between 0 to 66.

The message will then come through at this volume, if the standard volume is lower.

If the standard volume is set higher than the TA VOL lev- el, then the traffic report will be played at the standard volume.

CD NAME

SHARX

HICUT

Appears during changer op- eration only.

Use this function to name your CDs. (See “Entering CD names”)

Switches the bandwidth in the FM frequency range. When there are a large number of stations within your current reception range, use << >> to switch to SHARX ON which will prevent most interference from adjacent radio stations. This function has been set to “SHARX ON” at the facto- ry.

Interference-related cut in the treble sound. Cuts the treble when interference oc- curs. Can be adjusted from NO HICUT (OFF) to HICUT

3(highest setting). Which

setting is the most pleasant is a matter of personal pref- erence.
