Operating from the Head Unit

The DVA-5210 can also be operated from the ALPINE Ai-NET compatible head unit.

Refer to the manual of the head unit.

Note that some of the functions cannot be operated from the DVA- 5210.

Functions operable from the head unit

Switch

Operation

SOURCE

Switches the audio source.

 

Turns the DVD player’s power ON in the DVD mode.

 

Turns OFF in a mode other than main DVD.

TITLE

Switches the display pattern of the head unit.

REPEAT

DVD: Repeat switching

 

Video CD/CD/MP3/WMA: Repeat switching

M.I.X.

DVD/Video CD: Not used

 

CD/MP3/WMA: M.I.X. play switching

Starts playback from the beginning of the following

 

chapter/track.

 

When pressed and held in, fast-forwards the disc.

Starts playback from the beginning of the current

 

chapter/track.

 

When pressed and held in, fast-reverses the disc.

Switches between play and pause.

Adjust the volume.

Playing DVDs, video CDs, CDs and MP3/WMA

1 Press SOURCE and select the DVD mode.

DVD mode:

The power of the DVA-5210 turns ON and playback starts automatically.

Other modes:

The power of the DVA-5210 turns OFF automatically.

2 To set the pause mode, press -/J.

Press -/Jagain to resume playback.

You cannot set the source to DVD on some head units. In this case, press PWR on the remote control to turn the power on.

For video CDs with playback control (PBC), turn PBC off.

The disc name, track name, and other information can be displayed on the display of the head unit for music CDs that support CD text. This can only be used with alphanumeric text.

See the instruction manual of the head unit side for further details.

In the case of MP3/WMA, tag information (disc/artist name etc.) can be displayed. Refer to the instruction manual of the head unit for details. Tag information cannot be displayed on some head units.

SCAN play for CDs, MP3/WMA and video CDs cannot be performed.
