General use

The unit does not work. | LMake sure that the battery is installed correctly and fully |

| LUnplug the base unit’s AC adaptor to reset the unit. |
| Reconnect the adaptor and try again. |
| LThe handset has not been registered to the base unit. |
| Register the handset (page 54). |

I cannot hear a dial tone. | LConfirm that the telephone line cord is connected (page |

| LDisconnect the base unit from the telephone line and |
| connect a known working telephone. If the working |
| telephone operates properly, contact our service |

| telephone does not operate properly, contact your |
| telephone company. |
