6.8.3SIM PIN1

The PIN1 is the password for the SIM card. You can set the PIN1 to prevent others from using your SIM card without your permission. The option can be set as either “On” and “Off”. If it is set to On, you have to input the PIN each time you start the phone.

6.8.4PIM lock

The user can use this setting to prevent unauthorized viewing of Contacts and Messages. The default key is 0000.

6.8.5Side key lock

You can also lock the side key to prevent it from registering unintentional touches In typical day-to- day usages.

6.8.6Change PWD (password)

This function can be used to change the phone unlock code, PIN1 code, PIN2 code, barring code and PIM code.

Phone unlock code: the default password is 0000 and is used to remove the lock now and automatic lock feature. The user can reset the password by clicking the modify security code window and clicking the corresponding horizontal line to open the digital input box. Click the numbers to input a new password and then press OK. If the password is not correct, the screen will show “Invalid password!”

PIN1 code: the PIN code prevents unauthorized use of the SIM card. If you enable this SIM pin code, you have to enter the password each time your turn on your mobile. If you enter the wrong PIN code three times successively the SIM card will lock automatically. Its operation is the same as the security code. The default password is 1234.

PIN2 code: The PIN2 code is another password provided by the provider. If you input the PIN2 code three times successively, you may need input the PUK code to unlock.

Barring code: When using the “call limitation” function, you need to use this password. You can get this password from your service provider. The default password is 0000.

PIM code: User can set a password for accessing the Schedule and notebook. The default password is 0000.

6.8.7Call barring

“Call barriing” is a network function wherein the phone can selectively block incoming and outgoing calls. The option has two settings: On and Off.

1.In the setting menu, select “security setting” and then select call limit.

2.Open the call limit window and set “call limit” according to different conditions.

3.Open the limit setting screen and choose the limit condition. Open the setting window, click the focus box on the screen and select state. If you choose “open”, you have to input limit key. Click simulated keyboard to input limit key.

Block an outgoing call: If the item is chosen the phone cannot dial an outgoing call.

Block an international long distance call: If the item is chosen the phone cannot dial an International call.
