6.12.1 WLAN first and GSM first

‹If WLAN and GSM are both available, and the WLAN first option is chosen, when dial a phone number, if there is no “#” before the phone number, the system will then automatically add “#” in front of the number and dial through WLAN.

‹If WLAN and GSM are both available, and the GSM first option is chosen, when dial a phone number out, if there is “#” before the number the system will remove the “#” first and then dial through GSM.

‹Note: You can only choose one network priority at a time.

6.12.2 Switch to GSM when WLAN is not available and switch to WLAN when GSM is not available

‹When WLAN is not available the system will automatically switch to GSM to make a call.

‹When GSM is not available the system will automatically switch to WLAN to make a call.

‹If neither of them is chosen the system will not switch between them automatically but will choose GSM or WLAN according to the number dialed by the user.

6.13Network services

In order to dial and send messages, the phone must register in one of the wireless communication service networks.

6.13.1 Network selection

The menu has three items, automo select, manual selection and priority network.

Automatic selection: The mobile phone will register to the first service network according to the network sorted list. If it fails, the phone will try to register the next network in the list. If the phone successfully registers, the mobile phone will show “Register successful.”

Manual selection: The phone will scan all the networks that can be searched then the users can select one of the networks to register. If the registration fails, it will return to network selection window.

Priority network: Priority network is a network option. You can operate on the networks in the list. Choose “priority network” to enter the priority screen to show the priority list. Click “menu”, choose add to open the known network list window. Select any network from the known network lists. Click Yes on the bottom left of the screen to open the priority confirmation window. Click the input area in the screen and input the priority level and click Yes. You can also delete a priority network from the priority network list. Select delete to delete the priority network.

6.13.2Connection setting

The option is used to select the dial up setting through WAP to connect to the Internet.
