Of the set values in Favorite, the item with security asks for a password before going further.

Network Selection

Select ‘Menu>6.Settings>7.Network Selection’.

 

You can select ‘Automatic’ or ’Manual’.

 

Security Settings

[6.8]

Set ‘Menu>6.Settings>8.Security Settings’.

 

The security settings enable you to restrict the use of your phone to other people and types of calls of your choice.

Various codes and passwords are used to protect these features of your phone. They are described in the following sections. See also Access codes in the Appendix.

The Security feature keeps your phone and SIM Card safe from unauthorised users and you may set up a password for your phone or use the Call Barring service and Fixed Dialling mode.

SIM Lock

[6.8.1]

Press the [l/r] key for setup.

You should input the password when entering into the sub- menu under Security Settings. If you fail to input the correct PIN number 3 times continuously, you will be prompted to input the PUK number.

-Lock: You should input the PIN number to access to the main menu after power on.

-Unlock: You don’t have to input the PIN number to access to the main menu after power on.

Change PIN

Changes the PIN number.

 

Phone Lock

[6.8.3]

Once selected, this option locks your phone until you input the right password. Press the [o] key after you input the password.

Change Password

[6.8.4]

Changes a password. Default Password is 1234.

Application Lock

[6.8.5]

Input a password and select an application and then, press the [o] key to lock the application.

Call Barring

[6.8.6]

You can set limitations for making certain types of calls:

-Handset Barring: You can ignore the incoming calls or restrict certain outgoing calls with this menu.

-Network Barring: This feature is dependent on network service provider and subscription. Some of the bars are set by the network service provider.

You can set limitations for making certain types of calls:

-International Calls: Limits an outgoing and incoming international call.

-Outgoing Calls: Limits all Outgoing calls.

-Incoming Calls: Limits all incoming calls.

-Incoming Calls When Abroad: When you are in the overseas where international roaming is in operation, this feature allows you to stop receipt of incoming calls.

-Int. Calls Except to Home Country: Limits other international calls except home country.
