Using Sleep Timer

With Sleep Timer, you can fall asleep to music. You can set Sleep Timer when the unit is turned on.

How Sleep Timer actually works

The unit automatically turns off after the specified time length passes.

•Each time you press SELECT – or SELECT +, the source changes as follows:

TUNER TUNER REC

TAPE CD

TUNER: tunes into the last station you were listening to.

TUNER REC*: records the last station you were listening to.

CD:plays the last CD you were listening to.

• Make sure there is a CD on the selected disc number tray.

TAPE: plays the last tape you were listening to.

•Make sure that a tape is in the deck whose deck indicator (A or B) is lit on the display.

•Make sure that the tape direction is correct.

*When you select TUNER REC, the timer mode enters Recording Timer mode. The REC indicator lights up on the display.

8 Press SET.	SET
The volume level flashes on the display.	8

On the remote control ONLY:
1 Press SLEEP.	SLEEP

The time length until the shut-off time appears and starts flashing on the display. The SLEEP indicator lights up on the display.

•Each time you press the button, the time length changes as follows:

2 Wait for about 5 seconds after specifying the time length.

11 Release SHIFT.

SHIFT

The SLEEP indicator stops flashing and remains lit.

To check the remaining time until the shut-off time, press SLEEP once so that the remaining time until the shut-off time appears for about 5 seconds.

To change the shut-off time, press SLEEP repeatedly until the desired time length appears on the display.

To cancel the setting, press SLEEP repeatedly so that the SLEEP indicator goes off.

• Sleep Timer is also canceled when you turn off the unit.

To cancel the setting, press TIMER while press hold SHIFT. The timer indicator goes off from the display.
