One Touch Play —————————————————————————

Press the Ûor Ü button (or the £ button on the Remote Control).

The power comes on and “TAPE” appears on the display. When a tape is already in the cassette holder, the tape is played in the direction of the button pressed. If there is no tape in the cassette holder, the CA-MD9R automatically turns on and “NO TAPE” appears on the display.

Regular Play

If the power is already on, you can use this basic procedure:

Press down the 0button.

When the cassette holder opens, put a cassette in, with the exposed part of the tape down, toward the base of the CA-MD9R.

If the cassette holder does not open, turn off the unit, then back on and press down the 0 button again.

Close the holder gently.

Press the Ûor Übutton (or the £button on the Remote Control).

The tape is played in the direction of the button pressed.

The Cassette Deck automatically stops when one side of a tape has finished playing (except if the deck is in auto reverse mode: see the next page).

DIRECTION

To change the tape direction using the Remote Control, press the TAPE DIRECTION button. Each time you press the button, the tape direction alternates.

To stop playing, press the 7 button.

To remove the tape, press down the 0 button after stopping the play.

Fast Left and Fast Right ——————————————————————

While the tape is stopped, press the 1 button and the tape will wind rapidly to the left side of the cassette without playing.

While the tape is stopped, press the Á button and the tape will wind rapidly to the right side of the cassette without playing.
