LANGUAGE menu

You can select “MENU LANGUAGE,” “AUDIO LANGUAGE,” and “SUBTITLE” as initial languages only before playback.

• You can also select “AUDIO LANGUAGE” and “SUBTITLE” temporarily during playback (see page 41).

AUDIO LANGUAGE

Some discs have multiple audio languages. You can select your favorite language you listen to while watching a DVD.

ON SCREEN LANGUAGE

You can operate the system in the language you have selected.

Select one of the languages—ENGLISH, FRENCH or
GERMAN.
MENU LANGUAGE

Some discs have disc menus in multiple languages. You can select your favorite language you use while operating the DVD’s own menu.

Select one of the languages or language codes from AA to ZU (see “Language codes list” below) as the disc menu language.

SUBTITLE

Some discs have multiple subtitle languages. You can select your favorite language you read while watching a DVD.

Select one of the languages or language codes from AA to ZU (see “Language codes list” below) or “OFF (no subtitle).”

NOTE:

When the language you have selected for MENU LANGUAGE, AUDIO LANGUAGE, and SUBTITLE is not recorded on a disc, the original language is used automatically.
