Description of the appliance

Warning! If the programme selector knob is turned first to CANCEL (IPTAL) and then to the new programme, the programme which is run- ning is cancelled, the water is emptied out and the machine re-starts from water filling. To simply modify the programme which is running, turn the programme selector knob to the desired position (avoiding the CANCEL position): when the START/PAUSE (START ARA VERME) button is pressed again, the machine restarts with the newly selected pro- gramme from the point at which it was interrupted.

Opening the door after the programme has started

The door can only be opened before the machine starts the heating phase (within the first 15, 10 or 5 minutes, depending on the pro- gramme selected - see paragraph above) and during the rinse phase.

Set the machine to PAUSE (by pressing the START/PAUSE - START ARA VERME button).

If the door does not open, this means that the machine is already heat- ing, or that the water level is above the bottom edge of the door.

This prevents large quantities of water from gushing out when the door is opened.

The door cannot be opened until the pilot light has gone out.
