Learning Commands from Other Remote Controls

If preset codes are not available for your component(s), or the available preset codes do not operate correctly, you can use this function to program in signals from the remote control(s) of your other component(s). This operation can also be used after recalling a preset code to program additional operations not covered in the preset codes.

1 Set the remote control slide switch to

SETUP.

Also make sure that your TV is on and set to the receiver.

2 Press the REMOTE SETUP button.

The REMOTE SET UP menu appears on your TV screen.

3Press the REMOTE SETUP button and 2 at the same time to select the Learning setup

mode.

All the MULTI CONTROL buttons (except the TUNER button) start to blink.

To cancel Learning setup mode, press the REMOTE SET UP button.

Learning Setup

1Place both commanders pointing at each other.

2Select the item from the Multi-control buttons that should be duplicated. (ex. DVD) Multi-control button starts blinking.

EXIT = Remote Setup

4 Press the MULTI CONTROL button for the component you want to control.

Each button can be set to control one of the following components.

The selected button continues to blink.

Learning Setup

3Press one button that should be duplicated.

4Multi-Contorol button lights up.

5Press one button on the original commander, and hold 2 to 10 seconds.

6Repeat this process to duplicate next command. EXIT = Remote Setup
