Charging Using The On-Board Battery Charger (FIGURE 5)

WARNING

NEVER leave the charger unattended when the circuit breaker (charger) is tripping ON and OFF.

*NOTE: AC power cord (3-prong plug, 15 am- pere current rating; industrial type)

1.Grasp the charger port cover and remove it from the charger port.

2.Plug AC power cord into the charger port lo- cated in the FRONT of the wheelchair.

3.Plug AC power cord into 110-volt wall outlet.

4.Refer to BATTERY CHARGER OPERATION in this procedure of the manual.

5.When charging is complete, grasp the charger port cover and position it in the charger port.

Charging Using An Independent Charger Plugged Into The Joystick (FIGURE 6)

NOTE: The charger port located on the FRONT of the joystick requires the use of an independent charger. The independent charger is NOT sup- plied with the wheelchair

WARNING

READ and CAREFULLY follow the individual instructions for each charger (supplied or purchased). If charging instructions are not supplied, consult a qualified technician for proper procedures.

CAUTION

DO NOT use an independent charger rated for over 6 amps. Otherwise, damage may occur.

1.Attach the battery charger connector to the charger port on the FRONT of the joystick.

2.Plug the charger’s AC power cord, or extension, into the grounded 110-volt wall outlet.

3.Wait until charging is complete.
