PROCEDURE 10

REPOSITIONING THE MKIV JOYSTICK

WARNING

This procedure MUST be performed by a qualified technician.

NOTE: The MKIV joystick is factory installed on the sidespecifiedbytheenduserwhenorderingthewheel- chair. To reposition the MKIV joystick onto the opposite side of the wheelchair, contact a qualified technician.

DISCONNECTING/CONNECTING THE MKIV JOYSTICK (FIGURE 2)

Disconnecting

1.Loosen the thumb screws on the connector for the joystick.

2.Disconnect the joystick connector from the controller connecter.

Connecting

1.Align the joystick connector with the control- ler connecter.

2.Secure the joystick connector to the control- ler connector using the thumb screws on the controller connector.

WARNING

The excess joystick cable MUST be coiled, tie wrapped and positioned on TOP of the shroud - otherwise injury or damage may result.

3.Coil any slack in the joystick cable and tie wrap it together (DETAIL "A").

4.Position the coiled joystick cable on TOP of the shroud (DETAIL "A")
