2.8 Initial Power up and Sign In

The first time you power up IP8540, you will need to do the following:

∙Calibrate the touch screen

∙Sign In (with IP8540 or with Office Communicator 2007 R2 on your PC)

∙Set the phone unlock parameters

∙Set the time zone

2.8.1Calibrating the touch screen

You must calibrate the touch screen during the initial power up. After initializing, the IP Phone displays calibration instructions. Follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate the touch screen.

2.8.2Sign In with IP8540

After completing calibration, the Sign In screen appears. Once entered, your sign-in details are stored for subsequent sign-in. To sign-in you must enter the following:

∙Sign in address

∙Domain\user name

∙Password
