IP8540 User Guide
The following table describes each presence indicator and the accompanying status text.
Icon | Status Text | Description |

| Available | The contact is online and can participate in |
|
| conversations. The user can set this presence level |
|
| manually. |
|
|
|
| Busy | The contact is online but engaged in another call. The |
|
| user can set this presence level manually. |
|
|
|
| Be Right Back | This contact is engaged in another activity and will |
|
| return shortly. |
|
|
|
| Away | The contact is probably not available. This status is |
|
| displayed for the following reasons: |
|
| ∙ The IP8540 has been idle for more than the inactive |
|
| period - 15 minutes by default. |
|
| ∙ The Office Outlook calendar or Out of Office |
|
| Assistant for the contact indicates an out of office. |
|
| state |
|
| ∙ The contact has manually set the presence status |
|
| to Away. |
|
|
|
| Do Not Disturb | The contact is online but does not want to be |
|
| interrupted. This status displays when set manually by |
|
| the user. |
|
|
|
| Reset Status | Resets status to the default based on Communicator |
|
| status. |
