The following table describes each presence indicator and the accompanying status text.

Icon

Status Text

Available

The contact is online and can participate in

 

 

conversations. The user can set this presence level

 

 

manually.

 

 

 

 

Busy

The contact is online but engaged in another call. The

 

 

user can set this presence level manually.

 

 

 

 

Be Right Back

This contact is engaged in another activity and will

 

 

return shortly.

 

 

 

 

Away

The contact is probably not available. This status is

 

 

displayed for the following reasons:

 

 

The IP8540 has been idle for more than the inactive

 

 

period - 15 minutes by default.

 

 

The Office Outlook calendar or Out of Office

 

 

Assistant for the contact indicates an out of office.

 

 

state

 

 

The contact has manually set the presence status

 

 

to Away.

 

 

 

 

Do Not Disturb

The contact is online but does not want to be

 

 

interrupted. This status displays when set manually by

 

 

the user.

 

 

 

 

Reset Status

Resets status to the default based on Communicator

 

 

status.
