4.2 The Call Basics

4.2.1Make a call, while idle

Tap a contact in the displayed list.

Dial the number using the keypad.

To make an outgoing phone call while the device is on the hook

a)With the handset on the hook, enter the phone number using the 10-digit keypad. The numbers appear in the phone number field. Use the backspace key to correct an entry.

b)After the final digit is entered, remove the phone from the hook and the phone will begin dialing. Additionally, you can press speaker button or select the Call button.

To make an outgoing phone call while the device is off the hook

a)With the handset off the hook, enter the phone number using the 10-digit keypad. The numbers appear in the phone number field. Use the backspace key to correct an entry.

b)After the final digit is entered, press the Call button on the LCD screen. Additionally, the numbers will automatically dial if a matching dial string has been found.

Tap Call.

You may lift the handset for privacy.

4.2.2Make a call, while busy

Tap New Call and

Tap contact in the displayed list.

or

Dial the number using the keypad.

Tap Call.

You may lift the handset for privacy.

4.2.3Redial the most recent call

You can redial the most recent call you have dialed (with S/W version 3.5.6907.0).

From the Contacts screen, tap Redial.

The most recent call you have placed will begin connecting.
