Programming telephone settings
Activating/deactivating room monitoring
This function allows you to use another telephone to acoustically monitor the room in which your telephone is located (see ➔ page 93).

The upper display line indicates whether room monitoring is switched on or off.
Select "switch over?".
?Save the setting. If room monitoring was previously deac- tivated, it is now switched on. If it was activated, it is now switched off.
Locks
You can lock your Profiset 70isdn against unauthorised use:
●Direct station selection (babyphone) only allows you to dial a preset DSS number (procedure ➔ page 59).
●Total lock only allows you to dial two programmed emergency numbers (procedure ➔ page 60).
●Dial restriction with lockout numbers.
You can lock up to 9 different number ranges. This means you cannot dial any number that begins with a numbering sequence included in the lockout list (e.g. international numbers, service numbers, etc. – proce- dure ➔ page 59).
You can also program a Barring functions feature key
(➔ page 42). You can program this key to activate/deacti- vate the total lock or to activate/deactivate a lockout number.
Programming direct station selection (babyphone)
The direct station selection number can be dialed if the telephone is locked with direct station selection.
