•Press the small speaker on the VOLUME button to lower the sound level.

Although you use the same button to adjust the level, the intercom volume is set separately (and only during an intercom call) from the message/ memo playback volume.

Message alert

When new messages have been received, your Freestyle 1200 will beep every 10 seconds. The volume of the beep is at the volume you have set for the loudspeaker.

To switch the message alert on or off

When the answering machine is switched off:

•Press and hold the ◀◀ button. The machine announces, “Message alert off/on” as appropriate.

Resetting the answer machine

•Remove the battery cover lid to

access the RESET button.

RESET

Pressing the RESET button resets the microprocessor but will not affect any of the numbers you have stored in the memory, messages recorded or your PIN code.
