To adjust the number of rings before incoming calls are answered

You can select the number of rings, from 1 to 9, before incoming calls are answered by the machine when it is switched ON. The default setting will be 4.

Press the STO button.

Press the # button.

Press the INT button.

Press the 9 button.

Press the 3 button.

Press a button between 0-9to set the number of rings you want. (0 = Time Saver mode, see next item.)

Press the STO button to confirm the setting.

Time saver mode

Times saver is useful if you ring in from another phone to see if you have any new messages.

(‘Remote access’ – see page 36.)

If you have new messages, your Diverse 2016 will answer after

2 rings. If you do not have any new messages, your Diverse will not answer until 4 rings. This enables you to end your call before you are connected, saving you time and money.

Using your Diverse 2016 answering machine

To set a pause before each message play back

Normally, your Diverse 2016 will play back messages continuously. You can set it to pause between messages. The next message will not be played back until you press

the SKIP

button.

Enter 51 to insert a pause between messages.

or

Enter 52 for continuous message playback.

Press the STO button to confirm the setting.
