Telephone base

CHARGE/IN USE

• Flashes when another telephone is on the same line or the handset is in use.

• Flashes when the answering system is answering an incoming call.

• Flashes quickly when there is an incoming call.

On steady when the handset is properly positioned to charge in the telephone base.

SETUP

Press to review or change answering system options (page 33).

MESSAGE COUNTER

Number of messages (or during playback, message number currently playing).

CLOCK

Press to review or set clock (page 31).

X/DELETE

Press to delete message currently playing; press and hold to delete all old messages (page 34).

/REPEAT

Press to repeat mes- sage; press twice to play previous message (page 34).

PLAY/STOP

Press to start or stop message playback (page 34).

HANDSET LOCATOR

Press to make handset beep (page 12).

ANNC

Press to review or record announcement; press again to quit (page 32).

RECORD

Press to record a memo (page 35) or after press- ing ANNC to record an outgoing announcement (page 32).

ANSWER ON

Press to turn answering system on or off (page 37).

VOLUME

Press to adjust playback volume (page 34).

/SKIP

Press to skip message (page 34).
