On steady when a handset is in use.

Flashes quickly while an incoming call is ringing.

HANDSET LOCATOR

Press to make the handset beep when a handset is not on the telephone base (page 16).

Answering System

FunctionsPLAY/STOP

MESSAGE COUNTER

Number of messages (or during playback, message number currently playing).

REPEAT

Press to repeat message; press twice to play previous message (page 37).

ON/OFF

Press to turn answering system on or off (page 40).

CLOCK

Press to review or set clock (page 34).

SETUP

Press to review or change answering system options (page 36).

Press to review or record announcement; press again to quit (page 35).

Press to start or stop message playback (page 37).

SKIP

Press to skip message (page 37).

DELETE

Press to delete message currently playing; press twice to delete all old messages while the phone is not in use (page 37).

RECORD

Press to record a memo (page 38) or after pressing ANNC. to record an outgoing announcement (page 35).
