Important

Make sure you perform charging within the allowable charging temperature range, which is 0°C to 40°C (32 to 104°F). Charging outside this range can lead to leaking of the battery pack and overheating. It can also lead to deterioration of battery pack performance and shortening of the battery pack life.

If the charge indicator flashes red during a charge operation, remove the Pocket PC Terminal from the Charger Unit and then remount it. If this does not correct the problem, it probably means that the battery pack is defective. Replace the battery pack with a different one.

Use the Charger Unit to charge only the specified Rechargeable Battery Pack models.

A battery pack gradually loses its charge, even if it is not used to power a Pocket PC Terminal. Because of this, you should use a battery pack as soon as possible after you charge it.

To ensure proper charging, be sure to occasionally clean the power contacts on the Pocket PC Terminal and the Charger Unit, and the Rechargeable Battery Pack terminals by wiping them with cotton swab or a dry cloth.

Wall Mounting the Charger Unit

You can configure the Charger Unit for wall mounting by using the same procedures as those described for the Optical Communication Unit (IT-760IOE) on page 36.
