DPower save

The power save function reduces the current drain to con- serve battery power. This power save function can be turned OFF, if desired.

In the default setting (“AUTO” selection), the power save func- tion is activated in 1:4 (125 msec.: 500 msec.) ratio when no sig- nal is received for 5 sec. The ratio becomes 1:8 (125 msec.: 1 sec.) when no signal is received for another 60 sec.

DNoise blanker

The noise blanker reduces pulse-type noise such as that gen- erated by automobile ignition systems. This function is only effective for SSB/CW modes and not effective for non pulse- type noise.
