Changing the Angles

If various angles (multi-angles) for a scene are recorded on the DVD, “ANGLE” appears in the front panel display. This means that you can change the viewing angle.

For example, while playing a scene of a train in motion, you can display the view from either the front of the train, the left window of the train, or from the right window without having the train’s movement interrupted.

1 Press DVD DISPLAY during playback.

The Control Menu appears.

2 Press X/x to select

(ANGLE).

 

The angle number appears.

 

3 Select the angle number using C/c buttons.

The angle is changed to the selected angle.

To turn off the Control Menu

Press DVD DISPLAY.

zYou can select the angle directly by pressing ANGLE. Each time you press the button, the angle changes.

Note

Depending on the DVD, you may not be able to change the angles, even if multi-angles are recorded on the DVD.

3D Surround

This unit can produce a 3D Surround effect, which simulates multi-channel audio playback from two stereo speakers, instead of the five or more speakers normally required to listen to multi-channel audio from a home theater system.

1 Press DVD DISPLAY during playback.

The Control Menu appears.

2 Press X/x to select NORM. (SURROUND).

The sound mode appears.

3 Select the desired sound mode using C/c buttons.

The sound mode is changed between 3D SURROUND and NORMAL.

To turn off the Control Menu

Press DVD DISPLAY.

zYou can select the surround directly by pressing SURROUND. Each time you press the button, the surround changes.

Notes

This 3D Surround effect may not work for some DVD discs, such as those recorded with a mono audio soundtrack.

Turn off the TV surround sound and other surround effects when using this 3D surround effect.
