Repeating sections between two specific points (A-B repeat)

You can play a specific portion of a title or track repeatedly. This function is useful when you want to do such things as memorize lyrics.

AyB

1 Press AyB during play at the point where repeat play is to start (A).

A —

You can select “OFF” at this step by pressing CLEAR.

2 Press AyB during play at the point where repeat play is to be concluded (B).

Repeat play of the selection between points

A and B starts.

A — B

To return to normal play

Press CLEAR, “OFF” is displayed.

To cancel Repeat Play

Press x.

To return to repeat play (not A-B)

Press REPEAT.

Notes

•The repeat icon is displayed when playing a CD in the DECK A.

•A-B repeat play works only within a title (DVD) or a track (CD).

Playing in random order

(Shuffle Play)

You can have the system “shuffle” tracks and play them in random order. Subsequent “shuffling” may produce a different playing order.

When using the remote, set DECK A/B selector to DECK A for operations on DECK A, or to DECK B for operations on

DECK B.

SHUFFLE

PLAY

While the recorder is stopped or playing back, press SHUFFLE PLAY on the remote until “SHUFFLE” appears in the front panel display.

To stop Shuffle Play

Press x.

Notes

•You may not be able to do Shuffle Play depending on the DVD.

•“REPEAT 1” is cancelled if you set Shuffle Play.
