TELEPHONE INTERCONNECT CALLS

Receiving A Telephone Interconnect Call (Trunked Mode Only)

Receiving a telephone interconnect call is identical to receiving an individual call. See the DTMF Overdial Operation section if access to services requiring "over- dial" is needed. Overdial operations are available for any special call whether it is an individual call or a telephone interconnect call.

Sending A Telephone Interconnect Call (Trunked Mode Only)

Use the following procedures to initiate and complete a Telephone Interconnect call:

1.*To select a previously stored phone number, press followed by ,or .to scroll through

the list of stored phone numbers. SPC turns on. The selection mode rules apply. If the phone number is not stored in this list but the phone number is known, it can be entered directly from the keypad. If neces- sary, a pause can be entered by pressing and hold- ing 0-9,*or #until an un- derscore appears in the display. The last entered phone number can be recalled by pressing the OP- TION button.

2.Press and release the PTT button; the radio performs the necessary signalling to obtain a communication channel. When the signalling is complete and the radio is clear to transmit, XMIT turns on, BSY turns
