the priority-one or priority-two channels are already set and a new channel is then assigned as the priority-one or priority-two channel, the previously assigned priority channel with change to non-priority scanning. The priority setting selection sequence is set and stops at priority-one; therefore, the channel must be deleted from the scan list by pressing 9 before the channel is set to a previous priority setting. Any channel that is in a system’s channel scan list will show S , 2 or 1 when it is the selected chan- nel.

DELETING CHANNELS FROM A SCAN LIST

1.With scan operation turned off select the desired channel to delete from the selected conventional system’s channel scan list.

2.Press 9. S , 2 or 1 turns off. Any channel that is not in a conventional system’s channel scan list will not show S ,2 or 1 when it is the selected channel.

NUISANCE DELETE

A channel can also be deleted from the scan list, if it is not the currently selected channel, by pressing 9 during scan operation while the radio is displaying the unwanted channel. The channel will be deleted from the conventional system’s channel scan list in the same manner as if done using the steps above. Deletions done in this manner will not remain deleted if the radio is turned off and then back on.
