Insertion:

SLIDE INDICATOR

The battery has a slideable indicator which you can use to tell an empty battery from a charged battery. Slide the indicator to the left if the battery is empty, to the right if the battery is charged.

If you are uncertain of the state of charge of a battery, you can attach the battery to the radio. If

the radio does not come on when the (Power) key is pressed, the battery is probably empty.
