Included Accessories

Car Kit

The car kit is included with Model RD2211. It can also be purchased as an optional accessories from your local dealer or by phone on page 52. This accessory kit includes a car cord adapter (#54095) and a cassette adapter (#54097). The car cord adapter lets you power your LYRA2 from the cigarette lighter socket of a car, truck, or RV. It converts 12-volts to a 4.5-volt output. The cassette adapter lets you listen to the LYRA2 in an automobile or RV safely without having to wear headphones.

PERSONAL DIGITAL PLAYER / FM TUNER

Caution: Make sure to place the wire securely into the slot on the cassette in the correct direction for the type of player you have.

The car cord adapter is designed to be used only with vehicles having negative ground electrical systems. Use of any other car cord adapter may damage your LYRA2 and void your warranty.

Turn the LYRA2 player off before removing the car cord’s plug from the cigarette lighter socket.

1.Insert the plug on the cassette

adapter into the jack on the play- er. If the headphone is attached, remove it.

2.Set your cassette player to your nor- mal listening level.

3.Insert the cassette (Side A up) into your cassette player making sure the cord is placed in the correct position for your type of player.

4.Attach the car cord adapter to the LYRA2 as shown above.

5.Remove the cigarette lighter from the socket, and insert the car cord into the socket.

6.Insert the CompactFlash card you wish to play into the player, start play- ing the card, and set the volume at a medium level.

7.Control the volume with the cassette player.

8.Remove the cassette adapter from the cassette player when you are fin- ished.
