Inserting/replacing batteries

1Remove battery compartment lid and attach handstrap.
2Insert batteries, observing correct polarity.
3Close the battery compartment again. Replace the batteries when the symbol flashes permanently in the display.

)We recommend the usage of AA size max. 1,5V lithium batteries or rechargable NiMH batteries. The Leica DISTO™ also works with Alkaline batteries but the battery lifetime will be reduced.
