Important:

Do not try to start the engine without a battery in it. You could cause dam- age to the electrical system.

If the engine does turn over, but never starts up, there is not a problem with the starting system, there is a problem somewhere else with the vehicle.

Stop cranking the engine until the other problem has been diagnosed and corrected.

NOTE: The GFCI outlet should not be used while the Charger is in the Engine Start Mode.

16.maintenance instructions

16.1Before performing maintenance, unplug and disconnect battery charger

(see sections 6.7 or 7.6).

16.2After use, use a dry cloth to wipe all battery corrosion and other dirt or oil from terminals, cords, and the charger case.

16.3Through routine maintenance, ensure all user installed parts are secured.

17.storage instructions

17.1Store charger unplugged, in an upright condition. Cord will still conduct electricity until it is unplugged from outlet.

17.2Store inside, in a dry, cool place (unless you’re using an on-board Marine

Charger ).

17.3Do not store clips on handle, clipped together, on or around metal, or clipped to cables.
