Status light patterns (continued)

Status lights Condition of the printer	Action

Out of memory	The page you are printing might be too complex
The printer is out of memory.	for the printer’s memory capacity. Try lowering
	the resolution. See Understanding print quality
	settings for more information.

Door open, media out, no print cartridge, or media jam.

Check the following:

●The print cartridge door is completely closed.

The printer is in an error state that requires operator intervention or help.

●Media is loaded. See Loading media for instructions.

●The print cartridge is correctly installed in the printer. See Changing the print cartridge for instructions.

●There is no media jam. See Clearing jams for instructions.

Printer initialization	No action is necessary.
A printer initialization is taking place.

Fatal error	●	Unplug the printer for 30 minutes, and then
All lights are on.		plug it back in.
	●	If the printer still has an error, contact
		HP Support. See Contact HP support.

All lights are off.	●	Make sure that there is power.
	●	Unplug both ends of the power cord, and
		plug them back in.
