18.Check the Release Notes for other information on the products you installed. The Release Notes contain any special post-installation actions that may be required following this procedure.

STM: /usr/sbin/stm/Rel_NOTES.STM

EMS Hardware Monitors: /usr/sbin/stm/Rel_NOTES.HWE

Predictive Support: /opt/pred/bin/Rel_NOTES.PRED

19.For the February 1999 or April 1999 releases of the Diagnostic/IPR media, you should enable the EMS hardware monitors (the monitors are automatically enabled on June

1999 and later releases.) Follow this procedure to enable the monitors:

a.Run the monitoring request manager by typing:

/etc/opt/resmon/lbin/monconfig

b.From the main menu selection prompt, enter E(nable Monitoring)

c.See the “EMS Hardware Monitors User’s Guide” and other monitor documentation for information about configuring and using the monitors.

THIS COMPLETES THE PROCEDURE FOR INSTALLING SUPPORT TOOLS..
