Indicator Lights / LEDs

Nine lights can be seen from the front of the control panel. Five are system indicators and four are mode indicators. These lights help the operator and service person understand the operation of the heat pump and aid in troubleshooting problems.

System Indicator LEDs

1.WATER PRESSURE: On when in REMOTE, POOL or SPA mode and sufficient water is flowing throughtheheatpump.

2.THERMOSTAT: On when the controller is calling for heating or cooling.

3.HEATING: On when heat pump is configured for heating.

4.COOLING: On when heat pump is configured for cooling.

5.AUTO – HEAT COOL: On when switch SW1, located on the back of the controller board, is in the AU position. This indicates that the heat pump can operate as a heater and a cooler. (Only used on Model HP 1200R.)

Mode Indicator LEDs

1.REMOTE LED: On when the controller is being controlled by the three remote terminals on the back of the control board, (SPA, COM and POOL). When using REMOTE mode, the local setpoints should be outside the temperature band that the remote device will be controlling at. (Set the pool and spa temperature setpoints to the maximum settings — 104° F. for heat, 60° F. for cool).

2.POOLLED: On when heat pump is maintaining water temperature at the POOL setpoint.

3.SPALED: On when heat pump is maintaining water temperature at the SPA setpoint.

4.POWER/MODE LED: On when the heat pump is OFF and there is power to the unit.
