CHARGING THE BATTERY
You can charge the battery using the AC power adaptor or USB cable.
PRECHECK!
Before starting the following procedure, make sure that the battery is attached in your camcorder.
To charge the battery with the AC power adaptor
1.Press the Power ( ) button to turn off
the camcorder. page 25 | 1 |
2.Open the jack cover and connect the AC power adaptor to the DC IN jack.
3.Connect the AC power adaptor to a wall socket.
•The charging (CHG) indicator lights up and charging starts. After the battery is fully charged, the charging (CHG) indicator turns green.

To charge the battery with the USB cable
1.Press the Power ( ) button to turn off the camcorder. page 25
2.Open the jack cover.
3.Connect the included USB cable to the USB jack on the camcorder and to a USB jack on a running PC.
•The charging (CHG) indicator lights up and charging starts. After the battery is fully charged, the charging (CHG) indicator turns green.

• Please make sure that there are no foreign substances on plug and in the socket when you connect the AC power supply to the camcorder.
• Charging the battery at low temperature may take longer or the battery may fail to fully charge (green indicator will not turn on).
• The battery is not charged during the power saving mode, which may keep the mode indicator on or flashing. Start charging the battery after turning off the camcorder by pressing the Power ( ) button.
• We recommend you charge the battery pack in a place with an ambient temperature of 10°C ~ 30°C (50˚F~86˚F).
• When charging, if both the USB cable and AC power adaptor are connected, the AC power adaptor will override
