The image may not seem smooth when you set a high shutter speed.

When recording with a shutter speed of 1/1000 or higher, make sure the sun is not directly shining into the lens.

When you specify “Shutter: Manual,” the iSCENE mode is cancelled, “Super C.Nite” is set to “Off” automatically, and “Aperture” is set to “Auto” automatically. (Manual Shutter priority)
