Digital Zoom

The images optically magnified by the lens can be electronically magnified up to a maximum 180 times.

PRECHECK!

Select the Video record ( ) mode by pressing the MODE button. ￿page 27

1.Touch the Menu ( ) tab ￿ “Digital Zoom” ￿ then the desired submenu item.

2.To exit the menu, touch the Return ( ) tab.

Submenu items

•Off: Disables the digital zoom function. Only optical zoom and Intelli-zoom are available.

•On: Enables higher digital zoom magnification.

• The resolution and quality of the optically magnified image may deteriorate as the image is digitally magnified.

•You cannot magnify an image with the digital zoom while taking photos.

•When you specify “Digital Zoom: On,” “Face Detection” is set to “Off” automatically.

The right side of the bar shows the digital zooming zone.

The zooming zone appears when you move the zoom lever.

Self Timer

When the self-timer is enabled, there is a time delay of 2 or 10 seconds before recording starts. You can record or take photos of yourself.

•Off: Disables the function.

•2 Sec ( 2 ): Provides a delay of 2 seconds when you press the Recording Start/Stop or PHOTO button.

•10 Sec ( 10 ): Provides a delay of 10 seconds when you press the

The self-timer is enabled only before recording starts and is turned off after being used once.
