6.For optimal draining performance, make sure the drain hose firmly lies on the floor.
•If the diameter of the drain hose is bigger than that of the drain hole, please purchase a more narrow hose from a nearby hardware store and connect it to the drain hole. Please buy a narrower hose from a nearby hardware store and connect it to the drain hole.
•Failing to do so may result in the water not draining properly and it may cause a spin failure or water leakage from the bottom.
•Fasten the connecting part with a band or clasp.
-This is to prevent a water leakage that may occur when the washing machine is used for an extended period of time.
•After installing the washer, run the ‘Rinse+Spin’ course to check if the washer has been installed properly.
•The drying performance may be degraded depending on the status of the drain hose installation.
•For Air Speed Dry models, 2 combined drain hoses are provided. Do not separate the hoses.
-If the drain hose is bent or folded, draining water may fail and the drying performance may be degraded.
-Do not install the end of the drain hose vertically and keep it above the water. Failing to do so may result in an odor from sewage or the drying performance being degraded.
-Do not install the drain hose in a way that water collects in the hose. This may degrade the drying performance.
STEP 5
Powering your washing machine
Plug the power cord into a wall sockets, an AC 230 V / 60 Hz approved electrical outlet
protected by a fuse or circuit breaker. (For more information on the electrical and grounding requirements, refer to the “Electrical supply and grounding” section on page 17.
Test run
Make sure that you install your washing machine correctly by running the Rinse+Spin cycle after the installation is complete.
STEP 6
Running Calibration Mode
Your Samsung washing machine detects the weight of the laundry automatically. For a more accurate weight detection, it is recommended running Calibration Mode immediately after installing the washing machine. Follow the steps below to run Calibration Mode.
Before running Calibration Mode, make sure that there is nothing in the drum or on top of the washing machine.
1.Press the Power button to turn the power on.
2.Enter in Settings, then choose the Calibration Mode.
3.Press the Start button to start Calibration Mode.
4.The drum rotates clockwise and counterclockwise approximately for 3 minutes.
5.When Calibration Mode is complete, “Cycle Complete” appears on the display and the washing machine will turn off automatically.
6.The washing machine is now ready for use.
