Testing Your

1. Open and close each protected door and window in turn and listen for three beeps. The

identification of each faulted protection point should appear on the display.

Walk in front of any interior motion detectors (if used) and listen for three beeps as

 

 

movement is detected. The identification of the detector should appear on the display when

 

 

it is activated.

 

 

NOTE: Wireless motion detectors activate only once in a 3-1/2 minute period to conserve

 

 

battery life.

 

3.

Follow the manufacturer's instructions to test all smoke detectors to ensure that all are

 

 

functioning properly. The identification of each detector (or the zone number of the zone

 

 

assigned to the detector) should appear on the display when each is activated.

 

4.

When all protection points have been checked, there should be no zone identification

 

 

numbers displayed. If a problem is experienced with any protection point (no confirming

 

 

sounds, no display), CALL FOR SERVICE IMMEDIATELY.

 

5.

Turn off Test mode by entering the security code and pressing the OFF key.
