Fireplace Placement Requirements

Minimum Framing Dimensions

The fireplace requires a 1/2" space between the fireplace and the framing members (or other materials) along the sides and back of the fireplace. The stand-offs (and nailing brackets) may contact the framing members but no material may be placed into the 1/2" space.

The fireplace enclosure must be a minimum 48" above the base of the fireplace. NOTE: Do not build into the area above the fireplace (except for the required framing members).

HINT: We recommend installing the shaded framing after the fireplace is in place.
