Section 5: Advanced/Expanded Programming

All features discussed in Section 5 are only available in ADVANCED or EXPANDED modes of operation. Section 5 will cover all items contained in the CONTROLLER, ZONE LINKING, and RS232 INPUT tabs as displayed in the MRC88 Systems window under ADVANCED mode of operation. BASIC mode of operation is fixed to all DEFAULT settings of the CONTROLLER tab and does not allow for editing of these features. ZONE LINKING is not available at all in BASIC mode of operation.

ZONE AUDIO INPUT

(Factory Default = “DISABLED”)

Select ENABLE to utilize the Zone Audio Inputs on the rear of the MRC88 Controller Amplifier - Figure 3-(24). Use this feature to interface Zone Specific audio components such as a Multi Zone Audio Server or individual zone CD, MP3 Hard Disk Player or other zone specific audio source.

Components connected to these audio inputs are selected under the Source 1 selection button on the corresponding Zone Keypad. Enabling this feature will defeat the Source 1 audio left and right inputs connected to the Source 1 Component Audio Input – Figure 3-(22)giving priority to the Zone Audio Input. Video connected to the Source Component Video Input will still be passed.

NOTE: To control individual components or specific zones of an audio server, use the ZONE IR OUT from the specific zone or for certain devices, the rear RS232 port can be used.
