¾Prepare Hot Water Line

The line may enter from either side, rear or floor within the shaded area shown in figure.

The line may pass through the same hole as the electrical cable and drain hose. Or, cut an additional 1½” dia. Hole to accommodate the water line. IF power cord with plug is used, water line must not pass through power cord hole.

Water Line Connection

Turn off the water supply.

Install a hand shut-off valve in an accessible location, such as under the sink. (Optional, but strongly recommended and may be required by local codes.)

Water connection is on the left side of the dishwasher. Install the hot water inlet line, using no less than 3/8” O.D. copper tubing. Route the line as shown in figure and extend forward at least 19” from rear wall.

Adjust water heater for 120ºF to 150ºF temperature.

Flush water line to clean out debris.

The hot water supply line pressure must be 20-120PSI.

¾Prepare Electrical Connection

WARNING

Improper use of the grounded plug can result in the risk of electrical shock. If the power cord is damaged, have it replaced by an authorized Avanti Products service center.

This dishwasher should be properly grounded for your safety. The power cord of this dishwasher is equipped with a ground lead which can connect to your grounded permanent wiring system.

Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can result in a risk of electric shock. Check with a qualified electrician or service representative if you are in doubt whether the appliance is properly grounded.

Do not under any circumstances cut or remove the third ground lead from the power cord supplied.

Remove house fuse or open circuit breaker before beginning installation. Never use an extension cord or adapter plug with the unit.

Never use a two-prong grounding adapter.

Where a two-prong wall receptacle is encountered, contact a qualified electrician to have it replaced with a 3-prong receptacle in accordance with applicable electrical codes.

This dishwasher requires a standard 110/120Volts A.C.~/60Hz electrical power, and connected to an individual properly grounded branch circuit, protected by a 15 or 20 ampere circuit breaker or time delay fuse.

The cord should be secured behind the dishwasher and not left exposed or dangling to prevent accidental injury.
