SAFETY, REMOVEHOUSEFUSEORCIRCUIT BREAKERBEFOREBEGINNINGINSTALLATION.
This appliance must be supplied with the proper voltage and frequency, as listed with Step 9, and connected to an individual, properly grounded branch circuit, protected by a circuit breaker or time delay fuse. Proper electrical ratings should be verified with listing on product’s rating plate.
Wiring must conform to the requirements of the National Electrical Code. If the electric supply provided does not meet the above specifications, call a licensed electrician.
Quality,” section 5.8. When following these guide- lines, be sure to test for proper airflow direction into the draft hood of a naturally vented gas furnace or water heater. This can be checked by striking a match, blowing it out, and while it is still smoking, holding it near the draft hood relief opening. If smoke is drawn into the opening, vent flow is in the proper direction.
If the ASHILAE Standard 62 guidelines are not satisfied, a positive supply of outside air may have to be supplied.
