Safety switch-off

Your hob is fitted with a safety switch-off feature in case you forget to switch it off yourself.

Safety switch-off with an over-long cooking time

If one of the cooking zones is heated for an unusually long period of time (see chart) and the power settings are not altered, the hob will switch itself off automatically and the appropriate residual heat indicator will appear.

To use the cooking zone again, switch it back on in the usual way.

Safety switch-off if the sensors are covered

Your hob will switch itself off automatically if one or several of the sensor controls remain covered for more than about 10 seconds, for example by finger contact, food boiling over, or by an object such as an oven glove or a tea towel. The residual heat indicator will appear in the display of any cooking zones that are still hot.

￿Clean the control panel or remove the obstruction.

￿Switch the hob back on again with the ON/OFF sensor ￿. The cooking zones can now be used again as normal.
