lDo not wear bose or hanging garments when using the range. They could ignite if they touch an open flame and you could be burnd.

lUse only dry potholders. Moist or damp potholders on hot surfaces may result in bums from steam. Do not let potholder touch an open ffame. Do not use a towel or bulky cbth for a potholder. It could catch on fire.

lKeep range vents unobstructed.

lDo not heat unopened containers. They could explode. The hot contents could cause burns and container particles could cause injury.

lDo not store flammable materials on or near the range. The fumes can create an explosion and/or fiie hazard.

lDo not use the oven for storage.

lDo not use aluminum foil to line area around surface burners, oven bottom, or any other part of the range. Use alumi- num foil only as recommended in this manual.

lNever use a match or other flame to look for a gas leak. Explosion and injury could result.

lKnow where your main gas shutoff valve is located.

When using the cooktop

lMake sure the utensils you use are large enough to contain food and avoid boibvers and spilbvers. Heavy splatter- ing or spilbvers left on a range can ignite and bum you. Pen size is especially important in deep fat frying.
