3 Within 10 seconds, press the ENTER button.

The unit turns into character entry mode.

4 Enter a letter, number of symbol.

(1)Press the MODE button repeatedly to select the kind of character (capital letters, small letters or numbers/symbols).

(2)Turn the MULTI JOG control to select a desired character.

(3)Press the button after you have selected a character. The selected character stops flashing and moves to the left.

5 Repeat step 4 to enter all the characters (up to 50 characters).

When entering the characters during MD playback, the track is played repeatedly until the ENTER button is pressed in step 6.

6 Press the ENTER button.

When EJECT is pressed to eject a disc, TOC EDIT is displayed and the data concerning the contents of the editing are registered.

To change a character

Press the or button repeatedly until the character to be changed flashes. Then enter the desired character again.

To delete characters

Press the or button repeatedly until the character to be deleted flashes. Then press the button.

To insert a space between the characters

Press the or button repeatedly until the part to be entered as a space flashes. Then press the button.

To add a character between two characters

First, insert a space between two characters with the / and button. Then change the space to the desired character by entering it.

These characters can be used

Capital letters: S (space) A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z

Small letters: S (space) a b c d e f g h i j k l m n o p q r s t u v w x y z

Numbers and symbols: S (space) 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 ! " # $ % & ' ( ) * + , - . / : ;< = > ? @ _ `

NOTE

If the unit is left for one minute at steps 4 and 5, the character entry mode is canceled.
