Microwave Operating Instructions (continued)

AUTO DEFROST

Auto Defrost automatically defrosts all the foods found in the Auto Defrost chart below.

Suppose you want to defrost a 2.0 pound steak.

1.Press AUTO DEFROST pad.

2.Press number 2 for steaks.

3.Press START pad.

4.Enter weight by touching the number pads 2 and 0. Ex: 2.0 lb steak.

5.Press START pad. The oven will stop so the food can be checked.

6.After the 1st stage, open the door. Turn steak over and shield any warm portions. Close the door. Press START pad.

After defrost cycle ends, let stand, covered.

NOTES

1.For best results, it is recommended to place food on the popcorn/bacon tray.

2.To defrost other food or foods above or below the weights allowed on the Defrost chart, use time and 30% power. See Manual defrost.

3.Auto Defrost can be programmed with more or less time adjustment by touch the power level pad once or twice before touching START pad.

4.Should you attempt to enter more or less than the allowed amount, an error beep will sound.

5.Check foods when oven signals. After final stage, small sections may still be icy. Let stand to continue thawing. Do not defrost until all ice crystals are thawed.

6.Shielding prevents cooking from occurring before the center of the food is defrosted. Use small smooth strips of aluminum foil to cover edges and thinner sections of the food.
