8.Removethe bow-tiecotterpin securingthe deckstabilizerrodto thedeck. Slidethe decklift rodfromthe mountingbracketon the deckas seenin Fig. 19.

9.Carefullyremovethe PTOcablefromthe rearof the cuttingdeck by removingthe bow-tiecotterpinwhichsecuresit. Removethe springfromthe deckidlerbracket.SeeFig.20.

10.Gentlyslidethe cuttingdeck(fromthe left side)out from underneaththe tractor.

If removingthe battery,disconnectthe NEGATIVE(Black)wire

fromits terminalfirst,followedbythe POSITIVE(Red) wire.When re-installingthe battery,alwaysconnectthe POSITIVE(Red)wire to Its termna f rst,fo owedby the NEGATVE (Back) w re.

3.Connectthesecondcable (negative-) to theother postof the jumperbattery.

4.Connecttheotherendof thenegativecableto the engineblockof the tractor,awayfromthe battery.Attachto anunpaintedpartto assurea goodconnection.

Ifthejumper batteryis installedona vehicle(i.e.car,truck),do NOT startthe vehicle'senginewhenjump startingyourtractor.
