CAUTION:BEFOREPERFORMINGANYSERVICEORADJUSTMENTS:

1,Depress brake pedal fully and set parking brake.

2.Place attachment clutch in "DISENGAGED" position.

3.Turn ignition key =OFF" and remove key.

4.Make sure the blades and all moving parts have completely stopped,

5.Disconnect spark plug wire from spark plug and place wire where it cannot come in contact with plug.

TO REMOVE MOWER

1, Place attachment clutch in =DISEN-

GAGED" position.

2.If equipped, tum height adjustment knob to lowest setting,

3.Lower mower to its lowest position.

4.Disengage belt tension rod from lock bracket.

CAUTION: Rod is spdng loaded. Have a tight gdp on rod and release slowly,

5.Remove retainer spring holding anti- swaybar to chassis bracket and disengage anti-swaybar from bracket,

6, Remove four retainer springs from front plate assembly and remove plate.

7.Remove retainer spdngs from suspension arms at deck and disen-

gage arms from deck.

8, Raise attachment lift to itshighest position.

9. Slide mower forward and remove belt from elect_c clutch pulley.

10,Slide mower out from under right side of tractor.

TO INSTALL MOWER

Follow procedure described in "INSTALL MOWER AND DRIVE BELT" in the

TO LEVEL MOWER HOUSING

Adjust the mower while tractor is parked on level ground or driveway. Make sure

tires are prepedy inflated (See =PROD- UCT SPECIFICATIONS" section of this

manual), If tires are over or underinflated, you will not prepedy adjust your mower.

SIDE-TO-SIDE ADJUSTMENT

•Raise mower to its highest position.

•Measure height from bottom edge of mower to ground level at front comers of mower. Distance "A" on bothsides of mower should be the same.

•If adjustment is necessary, make adjustment on one side of mower only,

•To raise one side of mower, tighten lift link adjustment nut on that side,

•To lower one side of mower, loosen li_

link adjustment nut on that side. NOTE: Each full tum of adjustment nut will change mower height about 3/16".

•Recheck measurements after adjusting.
