right hand drive lever back into the reverse position while the opposite drive lever is in a forward position at an equal but opposite speed.

For reverse: Squeeze both drive levers into the reverse position.

For smooth operation of this machine, avoid quick, jerky movements of the drive levers. Move the drive levers smoothly and deliberately.

4.3.5To Stop: Squeeze drive levers back to the “neutral” position. Move the neutral lock latches into the “neutral lock” position and release drive levers. Move the speed control lever to the neutral position.

4.3.6PTO Engagement:

The rotating blades under the mower deck are dangerous.

WHAT CAN HAPPEN

Blade contact can cause serious injury or kill you.

HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD

DO NOT put hands or feet under the mower or mower deck when the PTO is engaged.

An uncovered discharge opening will allow objects to be thrown in an operator’s or bystander’s direction. Also, contact with the blade could occur.

WHAT CAN HAPPEN

Thrown objects or blade contact can cause serious injury or death.

HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD

Never operate the mower with the discharge deflector raised, removed, or altered unless there is a grass collection system or mulch kit in place and working properly.

The PTO switch engages the cutting blades. Be sure that all persons are clear of mower deck and discharge area before engaging the PTO.

Set throttle to “midway” position. The switch must be pulled out to the “Rotate’ position to engage the blades. Accelerate to full throttle to begin mowing.

4.3.7PTO Disengagement: Push in on the switch to the “Stop” position to stop the blades.
